1.   In Malacca, a policeman was detained yesterday under the Internal Security Act for alleged involvement in smuggling and harbouring illegal immigrants.

2.   Selangor police deputy chief Senior Assistant Commissioner I Mohd Noor Hamat said today police shortly expected to detain more people involved in harbouring illegal immigrants.

3.   Six people have been detained so far for harbouring illegal immigrants.

4.   Three employers were also detained for harbouring the immigrants, State Immigration director Md Saad Mehammad said.

5.   He is now being held at the Port Klang police station and could be prosecuted under the Immigration Act for harbouring illegal immigrants and employing foreign workers illegally.
