1.   A monthly application of a granular rose fertilizer during hot, dry times is adequate.

2.   Fertilize in about a week, watering before and after the application if you use a granular fertilizer.

3.   Mix in a slow-release granular fertilizer, such as Osmocote.

4.   Other plants will benefit from a slow-release granular fertilizer, such as Osmocote, mixed into the soil at planting.

5.   Rosarians apply granular fertilizers every four to six weeks spring through September, then stop until the next spring.
