1.   Once again, the government has broken its promises.

2.   The government has broken all its election promises.

3.   The government has broken its promise to reduce the size of the army.

4.   The Energy Minister denied that the government had broken promises.

5.   And no Israeli government has broken a taboo against bringing small Arab-dominated parties into ruling coalitions.

6.   A U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the government had broken a contractual obligation to the retirees.

7.   After admitting its responsibility for the deaths in her family and promising to pay a sizable indemnity, the government has broken its word.

8.   Brussels regularly sends out warnings that a government is breaking community law, or it sends serious cases to the European Court of Justice.

9.   But our constitutional freedom depends on not allowing the government to break the rules when it moves against unpopular individuals or interests.

10.   Congress is questioning the legality of the exchange, however, arguing that the government broke the law by not informing it beforehand.
