1.   A good caulk bead should bulge slightly at the center.

2.   A good adhesive caulk is Phenoseal or Polyseamseal, both widely available in caulking cartridges at hardware stores.

3.   A good caulk should be sticky, so that it adheres to different surfaces.

4.   Use a good adhesive caulk for this purpose.
