1.   Japanese gangster groups, called yakuza, are believed to be expanding their activities in the Philippines.

2.   Jo told the court he was following the orders of Kenji Kamimine, a member of a gangster group affiliated with Yamaguchi Gumi crime syndicate.

3.   Jo told the court he was acting under the orders of Kenji Kamimine, a member of a gangster group.

4.   Since then, PAGAD, and similar organisations around the country, have launched numerous anti-drug rallies, some ending in clashes with gangster groups and police.
