2.   Of the major oil- and gas-producing states, Louisiana gained seven rigs, California and New Mexico each gained two and Alaska gained one.

3.   Of the major oil- and gas-producing states, Oklahoma and Wyoming gained five rigs each.

4.   Of the major oil- and gas-producing states, Oklahoma gained four rigs while California gained two.
