1. In some countries which have tried to promote export led industrialization, the most dynamic parts of their economies have tended to be those with heavy foreign involvement. 2. The major European powers, including initially the Soviet Union, formed a Non-Intervention Committee, designed to prevent foreign involvement in and the isolation of the civil war. 3.
