3.   Flames defenseman Denis Gauthier and forward Marc Savard returned to the lineup following concussions.

4.   Flames defenseman Tommy Albelin, who suffered a concussion in Minnesota on Friday night, missed the game and is listed as day-to-day.

5.   Flames defenseman Bobby Dollas left the game and did not return after hitting his head against the glass on a heavy check from Mike Grier.

6.   Flames defenseman Brad Werenka tried to clear it, but instead backhanded it into the net.

7.   Flames defenseman Denis Gauthier was scratched with a shoulder injury.

8.   Flames defenseman Derek Morris fell while carrying the puck out of the Calgary end.
