1.   Dead birds are found almost every morning after greenkeepers have sprayed pesticide at night.

2.   The bird is found mainly in coastal areas.

6.   The RSPB is not a welfare society for sick, injured or captive birds and you will not find caged birds on public display at our reserves.

9.   -- If you find an injured bird, the best thing to do is call a wildlife rehabilitator for instructions.

10.   A secondary hot spot is thought to be in the Hopkinton area, where two birds have been found.
