1.   Apparently persuaded by such concerns, the church issued a statement Thursday saying that they would not give approval to a final burial until all doubts are removed.

2.   In Rome on Tuesday, NATO and Russia signed a cooperation agreement that many saw as the final burial of Cold War animosity.
