1.   In addition, the bill authorizes the General Services Administration to sell federal land in Florida that is considered surplus.

2.   The natural gas industry likewise argues for more domestic production, including on federal lands that are now off-limits.

3.   Among them was a rider allowing mining companies to dump thousands of tons of waste on federal land.

4.   And a new poll shows continuing support for preservation of old-growth forests on federal land among a majority of the public here -- even in timber towns.

7.   And legislation is advancing to sell off federal lands to help balance the budget.

8.   And ranchers are under pressure to cut back their herds in areas where federal land managers move to restore rivers and streams damaged by decades of overgrazing livestock.

9.   And they have sought assistance from the U.S. Forest Service to provide access to inexpensive federal land where worker housing can be constructed.

10.   And while grazing fees have inched upward, ranchers continue to get bargain-basement grass on federal lands.
