1.   A newer USB adapter, which I did not get a chance to review, has this external antenna and may have a stronger range.

2.   But if you attach an external antenna, the range can easily go beyond just a couple hundred feet.

3.   The external antenna is mounted atop the main fuselage, just above door.

4.   The Sony and RCA models are equipped to use an external antenna.

5.   The router has two movable external antennas, is about the width and depth of the Compaq router but is about twice as tall.

6.   If you use an external antenna, be sure to ground it against lightning.
