1.   But before transit officials phase out the subway token, MetroCard bugs should be exterminated.

2.   But the NFL must exterminate those bugs.

3.   Or they might picture a bleary-eyed programmer trying to exterminate a bug from glowing lines of code on a video screen.

4.   To exterminate that bug, the NFL should have both the official who made the challenged call and the referee peer at the replay on the field monitor.

5.   Think of it as a minimal renovation that spruces up the place a bit, plugs some leaks, exterminates some bugs and adds some new plumbing.
