1.   The weaker Liberal Democratic party was now considering an electoral alliance with Labour.

2.   Discussions took place between the two parties over a possible electoral alliance, but broke down in April.

3.   A further provision would have the effect of banning electoral alliances and coalitions.

4.   The left-wing opposition was unhappy with a provision of the new law which would work against electoral alliances in the third stage of the distribution of seats.

5.   The BSP formed an electoral alliance with several minor parties, including the nationalist Fatherland Party of Labour.

6.   It was proposed that the NLP might form an electoral alliance with the National Peasant Party and the Social Democratic Party.

7.   Prior to polling the NDC formed an electoral alliance with the National Convention Party, although each party offered separate candidates in the constituencies.

8.   For the moment the issue of affiliation was subordinated to that of forming an electoral alliance against the National Government.
