1.   Infielder Tripp Cromer, on the disabled list since Thursday with a right elbow strain, took grounders but did not throw.

2.   Suppan was put on the sidelines last August with a right elbow ligament strain.

3.   After the game, he returned to Boston for an MRI and three days later was placed on the disabled list with a right elbow strain.

4.   He did not pitch after June because of the elbow strain.
