2.   He lies on the ground, his back to the viewer, but the drawing poignantly conveys the terrible muteness of death or mortal injury.

3.   The drawings convey an image of baptismal purity.

4.   The drawings convey the sensation of movement.

5.   This may be because, as some of the animators suggest, their drawings cannot convey as much emotion as live actors.
