1.   It is not even clear if Senate Democrats would help Republicans bring about a controlled deposition process, so angry were they at the House managers.

2.   Microsoft, the company spokesman said, wants to insure that its trade secrets and confidential business information are protected during the deposition process.

3.   Republican leaders said Specter was one of the three Senators they chose for a role in the deposition process because of his legal experience.
