1.   Apparently the high voltage had caused the current to jump from the main building to the electrical system of a rambling addition, which has a separate service.

2.   If that happened, an electrical current could jump from that wire to the metal conduit, possibly burning a hole through it.

3.   If the wiring is damaged, the board said, current could jump from one wire to the other and ignite fumes in the tanks.

4.   In arcing, an electric current jumps from the copper wires to the outside of the insulation, where it forms sparks.
