1.   Miami has a large Cuban exile community.

5.   And Cuban exiles are preparing lawsuits, said Ignacio Sanchez, a Cuban-American lawyer in Miami.

6.   And with the political power that southern Florida exerts, the tit-for-tat response of the Cuban exiles spills over into American policy.

7.   And while detained in this military outpost they call prison, they ran into a tiny, aging population of earlier Cuban exiles who call this place home.

8.   And the third leg of this triple debacle is that the vociferous and emotional Cuban exile community in Miami is actually arguing about whether to send aid.

9.   And, above all, as a result of his success, he kept alive a flickering spirit in the souls of Cuban exiles.

10.   Apparently some Cuban exiles have not.
