1.   Asphalt crack fillers can be messy, and children and pets can track the material into the house if they step on it before it is dry.

2.   Cracks an inch or wider should be cleaned and filled with crack filler.

3.   Fill the wider cracks with driveway crack filler, sold in caulking cartridges.

4.   Fill driveway cracks with crack filler.

5.   Sealer, crack filler and asphalt patch are available at home centers or most large hardware stores.

6.   Use a liquid crack filler to seal the edges of the patch.
