6.   A former Republican county executive, John Klein, said the coalition appeared tenuous and was unlikely to hold.

7.   A personal contact with a county executive led the Rev. Kenneth Reed and his Evangelical Church of God in Christ in Syracuse, N.Y., to a government contract.

8.   A typical PDA usually has four appointees from the mayor, four from the county executive and four or more selected by the first eight directors.

9.   But another county executive, Robert Janiszewski, a Democrat from Hudson County, warnd that local governments would be receiving only a one-time saving.

10.   But he knows his chances of receiving the Republican nomination for county executive are slim.
