4.   Large lake-air contrasts maximize evaporation from lake waters, sometimes providing copious moisture for record snows.

5.   Low pressure will deliver copious moisture to northern and central California, causing another round of heavy rain.

6.   More concentrated thunderstorms will form northeast of Florida, where an upper-level disturbance interacts with copious moisture.

7.   Several sluggish low-pressure systems drawing copious moisture inland from the Gulf of Mexico has contributed to the damp conditions.

8.   Strong winds from the south will transport copious moisture north from the Gulf of Mexico into the Great Plains Saturday.

9.   Unseasonably cold air will move slowly south through the northeastern states Thursday as low pressure draws copious moisture into the region.

10.   Winds from the southeast will draw copious moisture from the Atlantic toward the central and southern Appalachians resulting in potent thunderstorms over the interior Carolinas and Virginia.
