1.   Incomplete results showed the LDPR was doing far worse in the constituency votes, which fill the other half of the Duma.

2.   Ninety-three of those elected in the constituency vote were in the last Duma and seven were former deputies in the upper house, the Federation Council.

3.   The constituency votes and the votes by list are offset so that the composition of the Bundestag reflects as closely as possible the distribution of votes among the parties.

4.   The current legislature is the first to include no appointees, although some legislators were elected by interest groups rather than a local constituency vote.
