1.   After being granted conditional clemency, Iverson spent his senior season at a school for at-risk youths and did not play basketball.

2.   Conditional clemency is rare, though not unheard of.

3.   He said he took seriously the opposition voiced by law enforcement officials and made clemency conditional on a prisoner obeying regular statutory parole requirements and renouncing violence.

4.   He served less than four months of a five-year sentence before receiving conditional clemency by L. Douglas Wilder, then the Virginia governor.

5.   My judgment was that these people should be offered a conditional clemency for two reasons.
