4.   Cool, cloudy conditions will dominate the upper Plains and Middle West with a few patches of light rain.

5.   Damp, cool conditions will dominate the western Plains and eastern Rockies.

6.   Dry and comfortably cool conditions will dominate many areas as high pressure stretches from the lower Ohio Valley to the Southwest.

7.   Dry and seasonably cool conditions will dominate the middle of the nation.

8.   Dull and damp conditions will dominate the northeastern quarter of the nation Thursday as low pressure and its associated front pass slowly across the Appalachians.

9.   Elsewhere, sunshine and seasonably cool conditions will dominate the middle of the nation as high pressure settles over Illinois.

10.   Fair and seasonable conditions will dominate the Southwest with high pressure over the Four Corners.
