1.   Chairman and Chief Executive Howard Barnett said the company plans to give the buyout firm a few weeks to complete due diligence and make a final offer.

2.   Santa Isabel, the operator of the biggest supermarket chain in Chile and the second biggest in Peru, said it completed due diligence for the purchase.

3.   The closely held firm said shareholders still need to approve the transaction and Insignia needs to complete due diligence of the firm.

4.   The letter also said VNU would willing to pay more after completing due diligence.

5.   In the statement Tuesday Vorawee said these institutions had either completed or are in the process of completing due diligence on Nakornthon Bank.

6.   Meanwhile, foreign banks will complete due diligence on a fourth Thai bank by mid-March, a government committee reported separately.
