1. Column capitals lie where they toppled centuries ago. 2. In much of the building the new ceilings are pulled back to expose the frilly old column capitals, most effectively in the ground-floor cafeteria. 3. Romanesque and Gothic column capitals hug walls around the main-floor courtyard. 4. Rays from the clerestory windows stipple the fruits and vines of the column capitals with purples, greens and golds. 5.
