1. By midday, heavy clouds had spread across the sky. 2. The clouds had spread and nearly covered the entire sky. 3. You can see from the sequence that cloud has spread over most of the region today, with just the occasional break letting the sun shine through. 4. During the day much more broken cloud has spread across and was responsible for the sunshine and showers. 5. As the storm unwinds like a tight spring, high and middle clouds will spread farther away from it, reaching from southern Long Island to the central Appalachians. 6. Brisk breezes from the southwest will draw milder air into the Great Lakes, but clouds will spread in from Canada during the afternoon. 7. Clouds will spread across the upper Ohio Valley and Great Lakes in advance of a warm front. 8. Clouds will spread east to the Appalachians by late in the day. 9. Clouds will spread over the Mississippi and western Tennessee valleys as a cold front gradually approaches from the plains. 10. Coastal rain and Cascade snow is expected in Washington, but only clouds will spread across the rest of the Northwest. |
