1.   A climbing gym is an excellent place to learn basic climbing techniques and how to use climbing equipment, as well as to practice in a less intimidating environment.

2.   Experienced climbers use climbing gyms to expand their repertory of moves, as well as stay in shape in the off-season.

4.   Most climbing gyms also have equipment rentals available and cheap introductory classes to lure in new members.
