1.   Although it was the warmest November of record in the contiguous states, a deep chill persisted in Alaska.

2.   Arctic chill will persist across the northern Plains with afternoon temperatures remaining below zero near the Canadian border.

3.   Arctic chill will persist in from the Great Lakes to the Rocky Mountain states.

4.   Skies will turn variably cloudy in the Southwest deserts, where an unseasonable chill will persist.

5.   Unseasonable chill will persist from the central Mississippi Valley to near Lake Michigan where abundant clouds will remain.

6.   Unusual chill will persist from the northern Rockies to the northern Plains as a shallow Arctic air mass remains in place.

7.   Wintry chill will persist from the upper Midwest to the Northeast on Thursday as jet stream winds continue to import Arctic air from central Canada.
