1.   Calcimine was used years ago as a ceiling paint because it was inexpensive and stayed white.

2.   Ceiling paint is good for ceilings because it is lighter in weight than wall paint, and therefore is less likely to pull itself off the ceiling.

3.   If the ceiling paint is fairly fresh, you might get away with painting just the shellacked stain area.

4.   It will seal the stain and prevent it from bleeding the new ceiling paint.

5.   No primer is needed with the stain or ceiling paint.

6.   The ceiling paint I put up came right off on the roller.

7.   Then sand the peeling paint smooth and apply two thin coats of latex ceiling paint.

8.   Then apply two thin coats of latex ceiling paint.

9.   Then the ceiling should be repainted with a flat, white ceiling paint.
