1. As breezes from the east carry moisture up the sloping terrain of the Front Range, isolated afternoon thunderstorms will develop from eastern Colorado to eastern Montana. 2. A few showers will arrive in southeastern Florida as persistent winds from the east carry tropical moisture toward the coast. 3. Breezes carrying moisture northward will ignite isolated thunderstorms across the western Plains late Wednesday afternoon. 4. Jet stream winds will carry moisture across Kansas and toward the southern Great Lakes. 5. Pockets of moderate to locally heavy rain are possible in eastern New England as brisk onshore winds carry Atlantic moisture rapidly inland. 6. Scattered thunderstorms will form along the southern Appalachians southwest to coastal Louisiana and Texas as winds carry moisture inland from the Gulf of Mexico. 7. Showers will develop as the moisture is carried toward the eastern Rockies. 8. Storms carrying moisture from the Pacific Ocean and arctic air are building over Alberta, Canada, and riding the jet stream into the Midwest. 9. Chances of rain will be on the increase through Wednesday as more moisture is carried into the northeastern Caribbean on winds from the east and southeast. 10. Southerly winds around an upper high will continue to carry moisture in at very high levels in the atmosphere. |
