1.   A U.N. report obtained in Zagreb, Croatia, accused Bosnian Serbs of summary executions and other atrocities when they captured the eastern Bosnian enclave of Srebrenica in July.

2.   Potocari was the site of a Dutch U.N. base where Srebrenica Muslims gathered as Serbs captured the enclave.

3.   Survivors say the Serbs slaughtered several thousand Muslim men after capturing the enclave.

4.   The Bosnian Serbs were poised to capture the enclaves when the United Nations mediated a cease-fire agreement and deployed troops in the areas.

5.   The presence of peacekeepers in Srebrenica and Zepa, however, did not prevent Serbs from capturing the enclaves and expelling thousands of civilians.

6.   The rebel Serbs also apparently want to capture the enclaves to remove what could be a useful bargaining chip for the government in any eventual peace talks.

7.   About a dozen Greek volunteers fought with Bosnian Serb forces when they last Tuesday captured the UN-designated enclave of Srebrenica.

8.   Karadic and Mladic were indicted last November for alleged atrocities committed when Serbs captured the Moslem enclave of Srebrenica in eastern Bosnia-Hercegovina.
