1.   Brush the sides of the round cake with apricot glaze.

2.   Brush both sides of cheese with margarine.

3.   Brush both sides of the eggplant slices with a generous amount of olive oil.

4.   Brush both sides with melted butter.

5.   Brush one side of the assembled sandwich with oil.

6.   Brush both sides of bread slices generously with basil or olive oil.

7.   Brush both sides of bread slices with olive oil and place on a foil-lined baking sheet.

8.   Brush both sides of each slice of bread with mixture and place on cookie sheet.

9.   Brush both sides of eggplant slices with oil and grill, turning once, until browned and tender.

10.   Brush both sides with egg white and dip into crumbs, pressing so they adhere.
