4.   The naval bombardment forced Lebanon to close off the highway between the Awali Bridge, just north of Sidon, and Rmaile.

5.   The besieging forces only enter the villages after the intensive bombardment has finally forced the defenders out, then bar access to journalists and humanitarian organisations.
