1.   Counterfeiters are producing millions of dollars in bogus currency with ordinary personal computers and ink-jet printers, a House panel was told Tuesday.

2.   Gimlett said the suspects were arrested last Monday and Tuesday and were arraigned on Wednesday before a U.S. magistrate on charges of making, passing or possessing bogus currency.

3.   All the changes are aimed at making it harder for people to produce bogus currency.

4.   He added that the bogus currency probably came from abroad and was of poor quality, missing many of the security features.

5.   Officers seized a large quantity of bogus foreign currencies, stock certificates and other securities, the paper said.
