1. Bruce had a simple but extraordinarily fresh mixed salad followed by roast beef strips on a bed of garlic-infused potatoes. 2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded papaya, carrot, grilled beef strips and cilantro. 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine pasta, sliced zucchini, beef strips, artichoke hearts, cubed cheese and bell pepper. 4. Our pickled Szechuan cabbage soup with pork, tangy steamed vegetarian dumplings and chewy dry-fried beef strips with ginger and garlic were all subtle and complex. 5. Return vegetables and first half of beef strips to wok or skillet and season with remaining seasoning packet. 6. Remove beef strips and place with vegetables. 7. The same goes for beef strips or deboned chicken for stir-fry. 8. Toss in the beef strips, garlic and ginger and stir-cook just until the beef no longer looks raw. 9. Weave beef strips lengthwise onto skewers and set aside in large baking dish while you prepare marinade. 10. When ready to cook, scrape most of the marinade from beef strips and thread beef on bamboo skewers. |
