1.   At least one Bangladeshi pilgrim was killed in the stampede newspapers in Dhaka reported quoting Bangladesh embassy officials in Saudi Arabia.

2.   But he confirmed the death of Munshi and said all other Bangladeshi pilgrims are safe.

3.   Foreign Minister Abdus Samad Azad said in a statement that all other Bangladeshi pilgrims were safe, while President Shahabuddin Ahmed expressed his grief at the loss of life.

4.   Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abdus Samad Azad said in a statement that no Bangladeshi pilgrim was affected by the fire.

5.   Officials in Dhaka said however none of the Bangladeshi pilgrim tents were caught in the blaze.

6.   One Bangladeshi pilgrim also died in the resulting stampede, officials here earlier confirmed, adding none of the camps accommodating Bangladeshi pilgrims were affected by the fire.
