1. Trim away excess around the base. 2. Trim away excess from around the base of the cake. 3. Neatly line all the hollowed out windows with fondant, pressing in and trimming away excess at the edges. 4. Cover the cake drum, smoothing on and trimming away excess around the base. 5. Cover the top and sides of the cake with the marzipan, press on and trim away excess around the base. 6. Wrap the strip around the sides of the cake, trimming away excess and smoothing over the join. 7. Trim away excess and place the base on to the cake drum. 8. Use to cover the cake drum, smoothing over and trimming away excess around the base. 9. Smooth into the corners and trim away excess from around the top and base. |
