1.   Soros has denied attacking the baht, which the government allowed to float in July last year.

2.   Thailand split its currency market into a two-tier system in May to crush speculators like Soros who were attacking the baht.

3.   Speculators in overseas markets had been attacking the baht in recent months, forcing the central bank to dip into its reserves to defend the currency.

4.   The head of the Thai Bankers Association, Olarn Chaipravat, told the Bangkok Post Monday that speculators would probably attack the baht again soon.
