1.   The Atlantic coast is within sight of the hotel.

2.   An exception is near the Gulf and southern Atlantic coasts where still rising water temperatures delay the temperature fall.

3.   Around daybreak, a shallow dome of cool air near the Atlantic coast may provide the necessary lift for the moisture moving onshore.

4.   Areas near the Atlantic coast will have the most plentiful sunshine and little chance for rain.

5.   Areas of fog will be common over the Appalachians as well as along the middle Atlantic coast.

6.   As high pressure moves off the Atlantic coast tonight, mixed precipitation will over spread the area.

7.   Away from the Atlantic coast, sunshine will prevail.

8.   A few showers, however, could affect the eastern Carolinas as a cold front presses off the Atlantic coast.

9.   A broad flow from the east and northeast will persist between a strengthening high-pressure area over eastern Canada and slow-moving low pressure off the middle Atlantic coast.

10.   A few of these thunderstorms will produce large hail and tornadoes as they advance toward the Atlantic coast.
