1.   The area farmed has remained much the same but there has been a significant increase in farm size.

2.   There are no nearby cities, and there is so much space that the area remains unspoilt.

3.   The area remains under threat from commercial developers.

4.   The drains were at last able to carry the surface water and only a few isolated areas remained flooded.

5.   Although the area remains a closed military zone, Palestinians ventured out to view the destruction.

6.   Although U.N. peacekeepers control the capital, Freetown, other areas remain subject to attacks by deposed military and rebel forces.

7.   And because of the lack of security, most aid workers in that area remained holed up in compounds, waiting to be evacuated.

8.   Bandera Downs closed in June, and plans to build a horserace track in the Dallas-Fort Worth area remain in limbo.

9.   A few gray areas remain.
