1.   In Boston area museums at the moment there are a variety of approaches and two design extremes.

2.   Recently I was trooping, half-bored, through an area museum when I spotted something across a large room.

3.   The festival includes Broadway shows, intimate theater, concerts, dance performances plus special programs at area museums.

4.   The works -- paintings, sculpture, photography -- are on loan from area museums and cover a range from early territorial artists to contemporary ones.

5.   The items will be cleaned and catalogued, and valuable pieces will be donated to area museums.
