1.   A design like this one happens not because an architect genuinely believes in it, but because somebody thinks that this is something that somebody else wants.

2.   But Enlightenment architects also believed that art and architecture adhered to universal laws.

3.   Even the architect of deregulation believes that airline monopolies now pose a threat to low-cost travel.

4.   Many architects believe that is not enough.

5.   The U.N. Headquarters is a good example of that fusion, or at least a telling illustration of the extent to which modern architects believed in it.
