1.   Anchor investors are generally foreign companies with experience in the industry and willing to invest and bring technical and managerial expertise to local companies.

2.   Adviser to the Minister of Public Enterprise Mukhtar Khattab said that the government has responded to pressures from anchor investors after they protested the previous sale conditions.

3.   He said that negotiations with Egyptian and foreign investors were still taking place in order to find an anchor investor for the Kaha and Edfina companies.

4.   The anchor investors will be able to buy the shares that allow them to carry out the necessary reforms and develop the companies they have bought.

5.   The government has exempted anchor investors from debts and excess labor in companies offered for sale by applying the early retirement scheme.
