But the family tree based on human mitochondrial DNA does not trace back to the thousand women in this ancestral population. 5. The ancestral Middle East population from which both Arabs and Jews are descended was a mixture of men from eight of these lineages. 6. The home of the ancestral human population in Africa is not yet known but some signs point toward East Africa. 7. The language spoken by the ancestral human population may never be known, though Greenberg has tried to reconstruct a few words of it. |
