1.   Umar Hassan Ahmad al-Bashir, said that the arrogant alliance forces have not united for the sake of righteousness... but have come to victimize fraternal Iraq.

2.   Alliances forces consist mostly of Uzbek and Tajik tribesmen from northern Afghanistan, while the majority of Afghans are ethnic Pashtu.

3.   American jets flew much lower than they have in recent days, apparently trying to provide close air support for alliance forces.

4.   American planes are dropping ammunition and other military supplies to alliance forces.

5.   Before alliance forces entered Kabul, Abdullah dressed in casual slacks and sweaters and his office consisted of a cinder-block house on a hillside with no electricity.

6.   A Northern Alliance field commander, Hajji Sher Alam, has also said that alliance forces might try to move south toward Kandahar.
