1.   Further steps in this direction, like placing its forces under alliance command and taking part in NATO nuclear planning, would be welcome.

2.   A spokesman at alliance military command in Belgium reported all planes had returned to their bases safely after many successful sorties.

3.   Bulgaria will host a naval training exercise involving five NATO nations in the Black Sea, the alliance command here said Thursday.

4.   Integrating Russia, and Islamic nations outside of NATO, into the alliance command remains an unresolved issue.

5.   Most of the U.N troops from NATO countries will remain in Bosnia under alliance command.

6.   Washington has also insisted that troops from Russia and Moslem states, which NATO wants to involve in the force, must come under an alliance command.
