Although it gives passengers one more thing to schlep onto the plane, the airlines say the brown-bag service has been well received. 4. Another factor, the airlines say, is increased security procedures mandated by the Federal Aviation Administration that require all passengers to check in with an agent. 5. As part of that, the two airlines also said they will seek new partners for their alliance. 6. Asked about showers, which seem like a splendid amenity, many airlines said they were available in first-class lounges, or in arrival areas overseas. 7. At the airport, however, the airline said there was indeed a problem. 8. At least one commercial airline says it would hire her -- and a public relations expert says it would be a PR coup for the airline that does. 9. Boeing will now review what the airlines have been saying in the meetings. 10. Both airlines said that in return for promising steady business to Boeing, they get price breaks and flexibility in the timing of deliveries of new planes. |
