1.   On Monday, Russian aircraft bombarded several Chechen villages and troops stormed the rebel stronghold of Bamut in western Chechnya.

3.   Minutes earlier Israeli aircraft had bombarded Jenin in the northern West Bank and Ramallah in the center.

4.   On Sunday, the four Russian aircraft bombarded part of the northwestern Afghan province of Takhar, destroying several houses.

5.   Russian aircraft also bombarded suspected Tajik rebel targets inside northeastern Afghanistan, Kabul Radio said Monday.

6.   Russian aircraft had also bombarded the Zavodskoy area southwest of Grozny, Udugov said.
